My Boy Superman

Our son, Oyen, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at age 2. Despite early diagnosis, my optimism that love and support would enable his independence is challenged as he turns fifteen. Realizations include that not all autistic children develop high functioning skills. Oyen falls on the lower end of the spectrum, presenting challenges as we age and lack resources to adequately support his growth as a healthy individual.
